While walking in the park last spring, I noticed a newly planted young tree in the park. That tree was for Holly Ray.
There was a laminated picture of Holly Ray hanging on the tree. She was a precious little baby.
On the back of the Holly Ray’s picture was a note written by her loving parents,
“Our Ray of Light
Mom & Dad
Jan. 8th, 2015″
Also hanging on Holly Ray’s tree, was a little star and a yellow butterfly from her grandma.
And at the foot of the little tree, was a dedication plaque.
“In Loving Memory of our beautiful daughter
Holly Ray Kingston
We long for your sweet embrace
Love, Mommy and Daddy”
Here in Toronto, we have The Commemorative Tree and Bench Program which invites the public to pay tribute to a person, group or occasion by purchasing a park bench or tree for installation in a public park.
